Vintage Carpets : Vintage carpets by Carpetu2 are produced from older Persian handmade carpets aged at least 40-60 years with a long history.
Each carpet is carefully selected and subjected to a unique process of reducing the pile to a minimum and neutralizing the color before to be painted in a new exciting color.
The result is a combination of the old with the new, the traditional carpet design combined with a modern retro style.
Vintage carpets can lose some of their original features and become even more unique in their appearance over time in modern new colors and old unique designs.

Kashan Carpets : Between Isfahan and Tehran, near the Dast-e-Kavir desert is the city of Kashan. The city is known for its handmade carpets, textiles and ceramics. The city where many commercial transactions take place is important as it is a resting place along the Silk Road. The famous Ardebil carpet that is found in the Victoria and Albert Museum is thought to have been woven in Kashan in the 16th century. Since 1800 began the organized production of handmade carpets from very renowned weavers in Kashan. The Kashan rugs gained a solid reputation and their success is due to three factors: the great variety of beautiful designs with fine colors, the soft shiny wool that gives a smooth surface to the carpets and the fact that many weavers come from nearby Isfahan who are capable and renowned carpet artisans.
Classic Carpets: Carpets that are woven in urban centres in fixed workshops and looms(as opposed to nomads). Their designs are first done on paper by carpet designers. These designs are strictly conducted by the weaver during the manufacturing. Even in these carpets, though there may be slight variations in weaving.
